Printed wedding invitations for every style

Wedding invitations set the tone before the day even begins. They are often the first physical piece your guests receive, so the size, stock, colour and finish all help shape that first impression.

We print wedding invitations for a wide range of styles, from simple modern cards through to folded formats, die-cut pieces and premium embellished invites with matching accessory cards and envelopes.

Wedding Invitation and Stationery Options

Wedding invitations can be produced as a single printed card or as a coordinated stationery suite with matching inserts, envelopes and finishing details. The best format depends on how much information you need to include, how formal the event is and how you want the invitation to feel when it arrives.

  • Flat wedding invitations: A classic single-card format for simple, modern and elegant invitation designs.
  • Folded wedding invitations: Useful when you need more space for ceremony details, reception information, maps, accommodation details or a longer message.
  • Save-the-date cards: Sent before the formal invitation to give guests early notice of the wedding date.
  • RSVP and response cards: Matching cards for guest replies, meal choices, song requests, attendance details or return information.
  • Information and accessory cards: Extra cards for accommodation, transport, wishing wells, gift registries, maps, itineraries or wedding websites.
  • Custom-sized invitations: Invitations can be produced in standard or custom sizes to suit your design, envelope, pocket, wrap or stationery suite.
  • Printed envelopes: Envelopes can be supplied blank or printed with guest names, addresses, return details, monograms or matching artwork.
  • Premium invitation finishes: Options may include white ink, hot foil, digital foil, embossing, debossing, letterpress, die cutting, laser cutting, duplexing, edge foiling and rounded corners.

If you are unsure what to include in your invitation suite, send us your guest quantity, wedding style, artwork status and deadline, and we can recommend a practical setup.

Wedding Invitation Paper Stocks and Print Finishes

The paper stock and print finish can completely change the feel of a wedding invitation. A simple digitally printed card may suit a modern minimalist wedding, while textured paper, white ink, foil, embossing, duplexing or letterpress can create a more premium or formal result.

  • Uncoated and textured stocks: Popular for wedding invitations because they feel elegant, tactile and easy to write on where needed.
  • Coloured stocks: Coloured papers can create a strong design base, especially when paired with white ink, foil, blind debossing or simple typography.
  • Premium heavy stocks: Thicker stocks can give invitations, save-the-dates and RSVP cards a more substantial feel.
  • White ink printing: Useful for dark, coloured or textured papers where standard CMYK ink would not show clearly.
  • Foiling: Hot foil or digital foil can add metallic detail to names, borders, monograms, icons or feature text.
  • Embossing and debossing: Raised or recessed details can add texture to logos, monograms, initials, patterns or typography.
  • Letterpress: A tactile print method that presses the design into the stock, often used for premium wedding invitations.
  • Duplexing: Two stocks can be mounted together to create an extra-thick invitation, combine different paper colours, or add a premium layered edge.
  • Edge foiling: Metallic foil can be applied to the edge of thicker invitation cards for a high-end finish that is especially effective on duplexed or premium stocks.
  • Die cutting and laser cutting: Useful for custom shapes, decorative edges, pockets, wraps or intricate invitation details.
  • Scoring and folding: Scoring helps folded invitations, belly bands, wraps and heavier stocks fold cleanly and reduces the chance of cracking along the fold.
  • Rounded corners: Rounded corners can soften the look of invitation cards, RSVP cards, details cards and save-the-dates, giving the suite a more finished feel.
  • Envelope printing and liners: Printed envelopes, guest addressing, return addresses and envelope liners can help complete the invitation suite.

If you are unsure which stock or finish will suit your design, we can show examples and recommend options based on your style, budget, quantity and timeline.

What We Need for a Wedding Invitation Quote

To quote your wedding invitation printing accurately, it helps to know the invitation format, quantity, card count, stock preference, finish, artwork status and deadline. If you are unsure about any of the details, send through what you have and our team can recommend a practical option.

  • Finished size: Let us know the invitation size if you already know it. If not, we can recommend standard or custom sizes based on your design, envelope, pocket, wrap or stationery suite.
  • Quantity: Tell us how many invitations you need. It is often worth allowing a few extras for keepsakes, last-minute guests or addressing mistakes.
  • Number of cards or inserts: Let us know whether you need only the main invitation or a full suite with save-the-dates, RSVP cards, details cards, wishing well cards, maps, menus or other inserts.
  • Single-sided or double-sided: Tell us whether each card needs print on one side or both sides. Double-sided cards are useful when you need extra room for details, maps, accommodation information or QR codes.
  • Stock preference: Include any paper colour, texture, weight or finish preferences if known. If not, we can suggest suitable wedding invitation stocks.
  • Print method or finish: Tell us if you want digital printing, white ink, foil, embossing, debossing, letterpress, die cutting, laser cutting, duplexing, edge foiling or another specialty finish.
  • Envelope requirements: Let us know if you need blank envelopes, printed envelopes, guest addressing, return addresses, envelope liners, wax seals, wraps or belly bands.
  • Artwork supplied or design help needed: Tell us whether you have print-ready artwork or need help with design, layout, resizing, file setup or guest-name variable data. A print-ready PDF at 300 DPI is preferred where image resolution is relevant.
  • Deadline and delivery postcode: Include when you need the invitations and where they need to go. This helps us confirm production timing, pickup, Sydney courier delivery or packed freight.

The more detail you provide upfront, the faster we can recommend the right paper, finish and production method for your wedding invitations.

What Do Our Clients Think?

What to Consider Before Ordering Wedding Invitations

Wedding invitations involve more decisions than a standard printed card. Before ordering, it helps to think about the invitation suite, wording, paper, finish, envelopes, guest names and timing.

  • Wedding style: Choose a format, paper and finish that suits the tone of the day, whether it is formal, modern, romantic, relaxed, colourful or minimal.
  • Invitation suite: Decide whether you need only the main invitation or matching save-the-dates, RSVP cards, details cards, wishing well cards, envelopes, wraps or liners.
  • Guest quantity: Allow extras for keepsakes, late guest-list changes, errors during addressing or additional family requests.
  • Paper stock: Textured, uncoated, coloured and premium stocks can all create a different look and feel.
  • Special finishes: White ink, foiling, embossing, letterpress, die cutting and laser cutting can make invitations feel more premium but usually add cost and production time.
  • Envelope setup: Consider whether envelopes need guest names, addresses, return details, liners, wax seals or matching artwork.
  • Proofreading: Check names, dates, times, venues, addresses, RSVP details, spelling and QR codes carefully before approving print.
  • Artwork setup: Supply print-ready files with bleed, embedded fonts, CMYK colour and high-resolution images. A print-ready PDF at 300 DPI is preferred where image resolution is relevant.
  • Production timing: Simple digital invitations can be faster, while foil, embossing, letterpress, die cutting, duplexing and envelope addressing need more time.

If you are unsure where to start, send us the quantity, wedding date, preferred style and any artwork or inspiration, and we can recommend a practical invitation printing option.

Wedding Invitations Finishing Options

Various finishes can be applied to both digital and bespoke printing. These include: Embossing, Hot Stamp Foiling, Letterpress, Blind Debossing, Digital Foiling, White Ink Printing, Die Cutting, Lasercutting, Duplexing, Scoring, Perforating, Rounded corners, Edge Foiling, and Hole punching. An additional time is often required for each finishing process. Price and turnarounds are available on application.

  • Foiling: Available in multiple colours but most common in metallic gold, silver, rose gold, and copper for that regal look.
  • Embossing and Debossing: Get bossy and add a third dimension to your printing.
  • Letterpress: Old school but popular for weddings. PMS ink and pressed in to indent usually thicker and uncoated stocks
  • Die Cutting: Add an extra dimension to your print by cutting it to shape. Just about any shape is possible with a large variety of shapes available.
  • Scoring/Folding: Scoring makes folding easier on heavy card and reduces the chance of the ink cracking on the folded area. A great option for folded invitations.
  • Laser cutting: Cutting items to a bespoke shape. More cost effective for small quantities than die cutting. Smooth stocks only
  • Perforations: A great option for tear of RSVP cards.
  • Drilling: A great option for assembling cards together.

3. Information Cards

Invitations, envelopes, but what else should be in your stationery checklist?  If you have any extra details beyond the main invite content, we suggest adding information cards to your stationery suite. Information cards, or accessory cards are included with your wedding invitation to add any extra details that won’t fit on the main invitation. Accessory cards can include the following:

  • Map/directions card
  • Gift registry card or wishing well
  • Accommodation card
  • Reception insert
  • Weekend itinerary
  • Website card

Additional wedding accessories include the following:

  • Bellybands
  • Invitations wraps
  • Envelope liners
  • Wax seals
  • Paper clips
  • Stickers
  • Invitation pockets and sleeves
  • Envelope embossers
  • Magnets
  • Lasercut cards

5. Don't forget the envelope!

Let’s talk wedding envelopes! Envelopes tend to be an afterthought when it comes to wedding stationery, with focus usually on the invitations and accessory cards. However, envelopes are one of the most important items in your wedding stationery suite. When your invitation arrives in the mail, the envelope is the first thing your guests will see, getting a glimpse of what's to come. You create the first impression with the envelopes, so why not make them special, just like the contents inside?

At Fast Print Services, we have a range of envelopes to choose from in a variety of sizes, textures and styles. Most of our envelopes are a banker shape with a deep or V shape flap and a lick and stick seal. There is an assortment of envelope colours to choose from, ranging from matching white or ivory to bright pink and classic black. Envelopes can be provided blank or printed in CMYK or white ink with personalised names and addresses on the front and a return address on the back. We can also supply custom envelope liners, which can be a beautiful extra touch. For a premium envelope finish, we can also hot stamp foil a design or monogram onto your envelopes, but not any variable information.

Fast Print Services works closely with several wedding planning companies that can help supply you with anything else you need for your special day.

Why Choose Fast Print Services for Wedding Invitations?

Wedding invitation printing is personal, detailed and often time-sensitive. Fast Print Services can help you choose the right paper, print method, finish and stationery pieces so your invitations feel considered and professionally produced.

  • Wedding invitation experience: We can help with flat invitations, folded invitations, save-the-dates, RSVP cards, accessory cards, envelopes and full stationery suites.
  • Premium print options: Digital printing, white ink, foil, embossing, debossing, letterpress, die cutting, laser cutting, duplexing and edge foiling may be available depending on the job.
  • Paper and envelope advice: We can recommend suitable wedding stocks, coloured papers, textured papers, matching envelopes, liners and finishing details.
  • Design and file support: If your artwork is not ready, our team can assist with design, layout, file setup and guest-name or envelope addressing data.
  • Samples and consultation: Physical samples can help you compare papers, finishes and previous print examples before committing to a final specification.
  • Sydney production support: Fast Print Services is based in Alexandria, with pickup and Sydney courier delivery available depending on the job and deadline.
  • Practical timing advice: We can explain what is realistic for digital invitations, envelope printing, foiling, letterpress, embossing and other specialty processes.

Our team can help make the process clearer, from choosing a paper stock through to final print, finishing and delivery.

Wedding Invitation Pickup and Delivery

Wedding invitation jobs can be collected from our Alexandria factory or delivered by courier, depending on the quantity, finish, envelope requirements, packing needs and deadline. Local Sydney courier delivery is available for many invitation and stationery jobs once production is complete.

Because wedding invitations often include multiple pieces, specialty finishes or envelopes, timing depends on the full specification. Foiling, embossing, letterpress, die cutting, laser cutting, duplexing, guest addressing and envelope printing may require additional production time.

When requesting a quote, include your delivery suburb or postcode, wedding date, required deadline, quantity and any envelope or finishing requirements. This helps us confirm whether pickup, Sydney courier delivery or packed delivery is the best option for your wedding invitations.
