Sustainable Small Format Printing

Small format printing refers to the size of the print material, this includes items as small as business cards right up to the maximum size of A3. Some examples of products we print in this department are brochures, booklets, postcards, wedding stationery and stickers. Small format projects are often digitally printed which differs from traditional offset printing as our machines do not require printing plates. Digital printing is classed as eco- friendly as we use dry toner which is non-toxic and can easily be de-linked in recycling processes. The dry toner we use is supplied in cartridges which are collected from our supplier on a weekly basis once used and then recycled. As for our paper stocks, all are responsibly forested as well as either FSC or PEFC certified.

As of May 2024 Fast Print Services is operating with 100% Carbon Neutral Energy

Polypropylene

  • Polypropylene (or polyprop for short) is used in our fabric, sticker and wide format printing. Polypropylene has a low carbon footprint due to generating less waste production and using fewer natural resources to create. It is also extensively recycled and uses significantly less energy than other products such as paper, cotton and canvas. As a plastic product, polypropylene isn’t 100% sustainable but is a more eco-friendly option that has a lot of advantages over other materials and plastics. The main benefit is that it doesn’t release toxins into the atmosphere, therefore making it safer for human health.
